FlashMathFlash

Master your math facts, one flash card at a time.

FlashMathFlash is a math flash card app for multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction with whole numbers. The goal is to help people of any age build a solid foundation in mental math — and it's especially useful for kids learning their "Math Facts," as they're typically called in modern curricula.

One-time payment. No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No data collected. You buy FlashMathFlash once and get the whole app. We feel ads and upsells take away from the learning experience (and the fun), so FlashMathFlash has none of them — and it doesn't even connect to the internet.

How it works

You choose your Focus Numbers for the session — the numbers that appear most often on the flash cards. Then you choose a range of Helper Numbers, which are paired with your Focus Numbers to build the cards.

For example, pick 7 and 8 as your Focus Numbers and Helper Numbers 1 through 10. You'll see 7 × 1, 7 × 2, …, 7 × 10 and 8 × 1, 8 × 2, …, 8 × 10, shuffled and presented one at a time. Check "Commute" and the order may be flipped (like 3 × 7), but your Focus Numbers still show up the most.

New in version 2.0

We recommend starting with 1 through 10 for each operation, then adding in negatives and 11 through 15 once you've mastered 1 through 10. Thank you, and do some math!
